The Straight Path

The Six Articles of Faith

The foundation of what the Shahada means.

Belief in Allah

There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. He is the sole Creator, Owner, and ultimate authority over everything.

1
2

Belief in Angels

Allah created angels from light. They are His honoured servants who carry out what He commands and never disobey Him.

Belief in the Books Allah Sent

Allah sent revealed books to guide people. They contained truth when they were revealed, and the Qur’an is His final word, preserved as it came.

3
4

Belief in All Prophets and Messengers

All prophets and messengers are our role models. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final messenger, and we believe in every messenger sent before him.

Belief in the Afterlife

This life is not the end. Everyone will be raised again, and Allah will judge each person with perfect justice and mercy.

5
6

Belief in Destiny

Nothing happens outside Allah’s knowledge and will. We still make real choices, and we trust His wisdom in whatever comes.

The Five Pillars of Islam

The five acts that carry the Shahada into daily life.

The declaration of faith

The Shahadah

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ
Ash-hadu an lā ilāha illā Allāh, wa ash-hadu anna Muḥammadan rasūlu Allāh.
“I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah.”
“And We are closer to him than his jugular vein.”
Qur’an 50:16
Allah hears what you say, and what stays in your heart. No microphone, no middleman, no ceremony. You speak, and your Creator already knows.

Allah has no beginning, no end, no father, no son; there is nothing like Him, He is uniquely One. There is no God worthy of worship but Allah, and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is His final Messenger. This negates every other claim to godhood, and every other religion built upon one.

Continuing on the path

What Happens After

You begin walking the Straight Path: the path of every prophet before you, including Isa, Musa, Sulayman, and the final prophet, Muhammad ﷺ.

You join a worldwide community of believers, in every country on earth.

You begin a life of learning, prayer, mercy, purpose, and closeness to Allah.

The Straight Pathand it continues, for the rest of your life

Ask us whatever comes to mind.

No question is wrong. A real person answers within minutes, with sources.

After shahada, we are here to support

No names. Ask anything, completely privately.

01Telling your familyWhen to say it, how to say it, and what to do if it goes badly.
02Losing friends, or drifting apartSome friendships change shape. What is worth keeping, and how.
03Working somewhere haramIf your income touches something you now avoid, what scholars say, and what to do while you look for a way out.
04Praying at work or at schoolFinding the time, finding the place, and what to tell people who ask.
05Ramadan in a non-Muslim homeFasting when nobody around you is. Meals, sleep and Ramadan nights.
06Marriage, or a partner who is not MuslimWhat is permitted, what is not, and how to have the conversation.
07Food, alcohol and eating outReading labels, ordering out, and sitting at a table where wine is poured.
08Feeling alone in itThe quiet months after the excitement. Why it happens and what helps.
Meet other reverts like yourself

Your number stays inside the group. Leave whenever you like.
